Join our vibrant STEAM After School Clubs, offered by Next Gen Edu Care in collaboration with the Diamond Valley Youth Foundation and the Sheep River Library. Explore the exciting worlds of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics through dynamic and interactive sessions. Ignite your curiosity, unleash your creativity, and embark on an inspiring journey of discovery with us!

Entry level: Young Scientist Robotics and Coding Lab

  • Description: This after-school club is designed to ignite curiosity and innovation in young learners through hands-on robotics and coding activities. Using Ozobots, Scratch Jr, and Scratch, students will explore fundamental programming concepts, problem-solving strategies, and interactive storytelling while fostering creativity and logical thinking.
  • Club’s goals:To equip students with foundational robotics and coding skills while encouraging scientific inquiry, teamwork, and critical thinking in a fun, engaging environment.
  • Recommended to: Children with close to zero computer skills.
  • Technology used: Scratch Jr and Ozobots and Spheros.

Mid Level: School of Fine Design – Canva, Tinkercad and Virtual Reality

  • Description:Unlock the power of AI-driven creativity by generating text, images, and 3D models using Canva, TinkerCAD, Meshy AI, and Gravity Sketch! Students will explore cutting-edge tools to design unique digital content while learning essential AI, design, and problem-solving skills.
  • Club’s goals: To equip students with hands-on experience in AI-assisted text, image, and 3D content creation using industry-leading tools.
  • Recommended to: Children with familiarity of basic computer skills (connecting to the internet, opening files, logging in, using keyboard and mouse fairly proficiently) as well as basic familiarity with Scratch and Minecraft.
  • Technology used: CANVA, TINKERCAD, Meshy AI, and Gravity Sketch

Entrepreneur: Tech-Powered Entrepreneurship – Innovate, Create & Launch

  • Description: Design on paper is a thing of the past. This club will explore other ways to design in 3D using computer software and Virtual Reality Apps. There is no limit to campers’ creativity as they will be creating simple objects to complex galaxies! And it gets better – we will add physics to the designs to make them look even cooler!
  • Club’s Goals: Students will learn the basics of regular and Virtual Reality design in different apps using design and systems thinking.
  • Recommended to: Children, Tweens and Teens familiar with computer use, mainly agile mouse and keyboard use.
  • Technology used: TinkerCAD, Meta Quest Oculus, Unity, AI Image Generator.

Club Cost

The cost per participant for 10 weeks is $300 $150.

The Diamond Valley Youth Foundation is pleased to cover 50% of these fees for EVERY STUDENT!! This subsidy wouldn’t be possible without the support of our partners and sponsors – THANK YOU!

Payment of $150 is due with registration.

    • Complete one form per participant.
    • You can submit the form directly after completing all sections. Or you can print it and send it to us via email to STEAM@dvyf.ca
  2. E-transfer $150 per participant to STEAM@dvyf.ca
  3. Complete the Terms, Conditions and Consent Form (coming soon!)
  4. Registration confirmation will be sent within 48 hours. The registration of the participant is only completed once payment and completed registration form are received!
